Hamish McLachlan’s 2024 Oaks tips

That’s how many trifectas/first fours that Hamish McLachlan has landed in the Oaks.
In 2023 he had Zardozi to beat Aethelflaed with Basilinna and Amazonian Lass for third and fourth.
In 2022 he got She’s Extreme, Pavitra, Queen Air and Zennzella.
In 2021 he picked Willowy, Douceur, Biscayne Bay and Elusive Express.
In 2020 he selected Personal, Salto Angel, Montefilia and Miravalle.
This year McLachlan is boxing up six horses as he looks to extend his streak to five.
“I don’t see how you can not have Treasurethe Moment and Powers Of Opal as the most obvious two,” McLachlan said on SEN’s Whateley.
“I think one of them probably wins.
“I know we’re trying to find the trifecta because we’ve always found the first four I’ve got six horses.
“I’m giving Too Darn Discreet a chance, I’m giving Harlem Queen a chance.
“But the two that I’m throwing in to create value and just not to annoy myself by not having them in are Rag Queen and Talisay.”
“So we’re going 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. Six horses, box them up.”
