Five left-field SuperCoach options for your team in 2025

If you’re changing your Supercoach team like crazy after every practice match, then this article is probably for you.
We will be looking at 10 players from leftfield who you should be considering ahead of Opening Round.
We’re defining leftfield as any player owned by less than 8 per cent of players, as this sits below 10,000 total selections.
Let’s get into it!
Lawson Humphries (Geelong, DEF) - $418,500
At just 1.8 per cent owned, Lawson Humphries feels like a tasty point of difference in defence this season.
The 21-year-old burst onto the scene in Round 16 and immediately became one of Geelong’s elite ball users across half back, playing every game from there.
While he only cracked the ton twice, he ticked every box for a future SuperCoach star and in his second season, any expansion of his role should see his average spike.
Humphries averaged 17 disposals per game last season and there’s no reason he can’t get that into the low 20s. Could he match Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera’s 2024 breakout season?
Connor Rozee (Port Adelaide, MID) – $529,400
The Port Adelaide captain took a step back in 2024 after announcing himself as a SuperCoach star in 2023.
He dropped from 107.6 average to 98.2, with his season marred by injuries.
However, he enters 2024 with Zak Butters sidelined and priced nicely at $529,400.
If you believe in talent and opportunity, Rozee is in a fantastic position to climb back to that 107 in 2025.
Adam Cerra (Carlton, MID) – $447,700
Adam Cerra is in a similar position to Rozee, where 2023 was a career-best season before injury issues hampered his 2024.
Cerra established himself in 2023, averaging 108.3, but hamstring strains saw him average just 83.1, hence his price.
With Jagga Smith now ruled out for the season, Carlton’s midfield rotation will likely be quite similar to how it has been the last few years and if Cerra can stay healthy, there’s no reason to suggest he can’t get back over 100.
Isaac Cumming (Adelaide, MID) - $287,700
Cumming only played six games for the Giants in 2025, with a hamstring injury derailing his season – hence being priced below $300,000.
Now a Crow, Cumming is training with the midfield group and is expected to play on-ball and wing. He will play every game if he stays healthy and will hope to get ack to his 2021 and 2022 levels, where he averaged in the low 90s.
If he was available as a defender, he would probably be in 30 per cent of teams.
Oliver Hollands (Carlton, MID) – $333,300
Just how valuable is the free roaming half back flank role? Well, we’ll find out because that’s where Ollie Hollands will be playing this season as Carlton looks to fill the Nic Newman void.
Hollands found plenty of the footy in the practice match against the Saints and his endurance running will see him thrive across the season. He should comfortably average 80+.
He will gain dual position status at the first possible opportunity and if you buy in early, you should have a handy season-long D5. You just have to hold him in the midfield for the first patch of the season.
