Dame Noeline Taurua remains on the outside looking in with the Silver Ferns.
As first reported by Sport Nation's Alex Chapman, Taurua had been stood down after a group of up to five high-profile players refused to play for the Silver Ferns, and would make themselves unavailable for selection if Taurua stayed on.
This week Dame Noeline and Netball New Zealand have been under mediation - NNZ released a statement on Saturday:
"Despite considerable and genuine effort from Netball New Zealand and Dame Noeline Taurua, a resolution regarding the Silver Ferns high performance programme and environment has not yet been reached.
"Over the past few weeks, NNZ has pursued every pathway with Dame Noeline to bring her back into the Silver Ferns environment at this time. NNZ is disappointed that this has not been possible."
NNZ also confirmed that Yvette McCausland-Durie will stay on as the Silver Ferns in the interim for October's Constellation Cup, plus November's Northern Tour, with Liana Leota supporting McCausland-Durie as assistant coach.
More to come...
