Could history repeat itself? Why this Test summer is feeling an awful lot like the 2005 Ashes

Good morning, Happy New Year and welcome to the New Ball!
Wow! What a series.
After a poor lead-in, the tourists won the first Test in crushing fashion. It was one way traffic.
The hosts won the second, making us wonder whether the first Test was real or fake.
The third Test was drawn. The tourists reacted like they’d won in the dressing room on day 5, raising eyebrows.
The home side won the fourth, initially grinding, but ultimately were too good.
And the tourists need to win the final Test to retain the trophy.
The tourists have enjoyed the work of an all-time great bowler and a left-handed, normally destructive keeper-batter who hasn’t fired with the stick.
Yes… How incredible was the 2005 Ashes!
Konstas is KP with a blonde streak through his hair. Taking on the best bowler of the touring team, changing the flavour of the series in the process.
Bumrah is Warne. When they bowl, the game is different.
Kohli is Hayden. Ageing, but fiercely competitive. Chest out.
Pant is Gilchrist. Short on runs but super damaging if they get it right.
And after a long drought, Australia - like England in 2005 - is on the cusp of regaining a special trophy.
You know what they say, history never repeats, but it sometimes rhymes!
