Cornes and King’s over/under win totals for 2025 (Part 1)

Kane Cornes and David King have forecast the 2025 win totals for nine of the 18 AFL clubs.
On SEN Breakfast’s Fireball Friday, Cornes and King went through Adelaide to GWS and gave their over/under win totals for the upcoming season, including one lock of confidence.
Their predictions are based on the over/under lines set by Sportsbet.

ADELAIDE (11.5)
Cornes: OVER 11.5
“I love their forward line, their midfield is solid, I think they easily go over and will win 13 home and away games.”
King: OVER 11.5
“I think they underperformed last year. I still think they’re building talent before they’ll be a premiership threat.”
BRISBANE (14.5)
Cornes: OVER 14.5
“Their record at the Gabba, the amount of talent they’ve got coming back from ACLs, I think they’ll go over, but I’m not confident.”
King: UNDER 14.5
“Joe Daniher is a massive loss and It’s really hard after a premiership, you become the hunted.”
CARLTON (13.5)
Cornes: UNDER 13.5
“I just can’t trust the medical department.”
King: UNDER 13.5
“This is a tough one. I think the Nic Newman absence is significant. I’m going under but could quite easily see them jump and run.”
COLLINGWOOD (13.5)
Cornes: UNDER 13.5
“I think they miss the eight. I like their best 22, but if the older, injury-prone players get injured I think their depth will exposed like few others.”
King: UNDER 13.5
“They’ll be a lot better than last year, but they are aging. I think 13 wins is about that mark.”
ESSENDON (9.5)
Cornes: UNDER 9.5
“I think it’s a bottom four-ish year for Essendon. I’m not that confident on them.”
King: OVER 9.5
“9.5 is low. I’ll go over because I just think they have to get to 10 wins in Brad Scott’s third year.”
FREMANTLE (12.5)
Cornes: OVER 12.5
“I’m not locking them in but definitely over. They’re a good chance of playing off in a prelim final this year.”
King: OVER 12.5 (LOCK)
“Lock this one in. Freo are winning 13 games plus, absolutely no doubt about that.”
GEELONG (13.5)
Cornes: OVER 13.5
“I refuse to bet against this coach Chris Scott. I think they play finals again and they’ll be around the mark.”
King: UNDER 13.5
“If Max Holmes can completely take over from Patrick Dangerfield they blow past that, but I still have my reservations. I would expect they’ll be winning 12 or 13 games, I can’t sign off on 14+.”
GOLD COAST (11.5)
Cornes: OVER 11.5 (LOCK)
“This is the easiest of the lot, Gold Coast to win more than 11.5 games. They’re absolutely stacked. I want less talk and more action from the Suns.”
King: OVER 11.5
“They should be winning more than 11.5. They’ve just got to find a way to get serious. It’s not a talent discussion, it’s a performance discussion.”
GWS GIANTS (14.5)
Cornes: OVER 14.5
“I think they equal the 15 they won last year. I’m not super confident, but they’re good enough to do that. There’ll be a motivation factor for this side not like many other teams. Last year would burn.”
King: OVER 14.5
“I’m a huge fan. They’re there to win it. I think they’ll be winning 15+. I’ve got them definitely prelim final weekend if not further.”
