Corey Parker's Queensland Game II player ratings
After being humbled at home in Game I of the 2025 State of Origin series, Queensland roared back to life and claimed Game II in Perth.
Coach Billy Slater made a number of squad changes including the sacking of captain and halfback Daly Cherry-Evans. Those changes paid dividends on Wednesday night at Optus Stadium as the Maroons ran out 26-24 victors.
Former Queensland great and SEN’s Corey Parker gave each Queensland player a rating out of 10 following the win.

Kalyn Ponga - 6/10
“He struggled a bit at times and struggled to get into the game from an attacking point of view,” Parker said on SENQ Breakfast.
“The weather may have played its part.”
Xavier Coates - 6
“He moved sides for Game II. It was quite different for the wingers.”
Robert Toia - 7.5
“He set up a try in the first half, made 19 tackles and I thought he was very strong.”
Valentine Holmes - 8
“I thought he was really strong defensively.
“His ability to shut down plays was excellent.
“He was also perfect off the boot which proved to be the difference in the end.”
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow - 8
“The Hammer has this unbelievable knack to score tries. He has 11 tries in just nine Origin games.”
Cameron Munster - 9
“He ended up getting the man of the match.
“Some poor kicks throughout the game but he made it up in every other facet.”
Tom Dearden - 9
“I thought he was exceptional. He was brilliant in attack.”
Moeaki Fotuaika - 7.5
“He was under enormous pressure and provided well.”
Harry Grant - 8.5
“He was under par in the first game but he set up a couple of tries and 50 tackles for Harry.
"39 of those tackles came in the second half."
Tino Fa’asuamaleaui - 6
“There were a couple of crucial errors from Tino. He’d be disappointed.”
Reuben Cotter - 9
“He was inspirational in defence."
Kurt Capewell - 9
“A great contributor and also nabbed a try.”
Trent Loiero - 7
“His first starting opportunity for Queensland.”
Kurt Mann - 8.5
“He made a huge difference. He was bouncing around and was energetic.”
Lindsay Collins - 8
“He was also under pressure for Game I and I thought he brought a real punch from the bench.”
Jeremiah Nanai - 6
“He had limited time because of the way the game unfolded.”
Patrick Carrigan - 7.5
“A bit like Collins, he provided plenty of punch and go-forward.”
The series now heads to a decider at Accor Stadium in Sydney on July 9.
