Which AFL club do you love to beat the most?
SEN.com.au asked each of the 18 skippers on Captain’s Day which opponent they love knocking off.
See their answers below:
Jordan Dawson: “It’s hard to go past Port.
“It’s more the fans and the rest of Adelaide after that game, you want to have bragging rights.”
Harris Andrews: “It’s always nice beating Gold Coast, and Collingwood as well.
“Always good match-ups there.”
Patrick Cripps: “Any big rivals, so Collingwood, Richmond and Essendon - they’re the main three.”
Darcy Moore with zero hesitation: “Definitely Carlton.”
Andy McGrath with a nod of the head: “Collingwood.”
Alex Pearce: “West Coast, obviously.”
Patrick Dangerfield: “The Hawks on (Easter) Monday is pretty good.”
Noah Anderson succinctly: “Brisbane.”
Toby Greene with a wry smile: “Yeah, the Swans.”
Jai Newcombe with no hesitation: “Essendon.”
Max Gawn: “I like winning at Adelaide Oval, so Port Adelaide.”
Nick Larkey: “We’ve been on the other end of them over the years.
“One club I’d love to beat is Essendon. We haven’t beaten them for a long time and I feel like we should be right there.
“This year will be a good chance to try and beat Essendon.”
Connor Rozee while smiling: “Probably the Crows.”
Toby Nankervis: “Any of them, but probably the big Melbourne clubs like Carlton, Collingwood, Melbourne, those sort of teams.”
Cal Wilkie: “Collingwood, it’s always nice to get them done in front of a big crowd.”
Callum Mills: “Giants, for sure.”
Reuben Ginbey: “Freo, definitely.
“I’ve only ever beaten them once but it was good fun.”
Marcus Bontempelli: “Always like beating the Giants.
“Through a long history even though it’s changed a bit with modern rivalries. They’ve got a few (rivalries) that are a bit bigger than us nowadays.
“It’s always nice beating Collingwood just because of their supporter base at a big club.”
