Buckley and Whateley’s top four seeds after Round 4, 2025
Nathan Buckley and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 4 of the 2025 AFL season.
Buckley and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.
The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.
See the seedings below:

BUCKLEY
1. Hawthorn
“Even more controversial, a side that had a bye has gone from two to one.
“I'm only being facetious with that.”
2. Brisbane
“Never seen before... the side that wins is going to drop down to the number two seed.
“All you can do is win, and that is what they did, but they did play Richmond and I'm just sharpening them up a bit.”
3. Gold Coast
“They've swapped.
“Gold Coast are the third seed.”
4. Adelaide
“I've got the Crows at four.
“I think that they lost no admirers and I love their fight.
“The triple threat, they are kicking nine goals at the moment so they are going to have to find new avenues at some point.”

WHATELEY
1. Hawthorn
“Hawthorn, protected seedings. They are one because they didn't play.”
2. GWS
“In like for like games, the Giants won by a big margin, Brisbane didn't.”
3. Brisbane
“I've moved them from two to three as well.
“Brisbane are 4-0, the last two premiers have started zero and three, so they are going fine.”
4. Adelaide
“Adelaide still at four, but they are now in a play-in game with Geelong.
“Whoever wins their will stay in.”
