Buckley and Whateley’s top four seeds after Round 22, 2025
Nathan Buckley and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 22 of the 2025 AFL season.
Buckley and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.
The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.
See the seedings below:

BUCKLEY
1 - Adelaide
2 - Geelong
3 - Gold Coast
“I think their brand is good. It will be tested in September but their brand is a September style.”
4 - Hawthorn
“My seedings are around who I think is more likely to finish top four and thus get a double chance.
“That gets my top three, but then the fourth I’ve just gone the game style that I like the most, that I think is finding their best right now. That’s Hawthorn.
“I had them out. But their form against Adelaide two weeks ago was excellent… they’re looking great.”
WHATELEY
“I had exactly the same pretty much on the same methodology,” said Whateley
“There are play-in games all over the place this week.”
1 - Adelaide
2 - Geelong
3 - Gold Coast
“I don’t want to take another call from Tony Cochrane.”
4 - Hawthorn
“I just feel like this week I want to have Hawthorn in, and I can.”
