Bears vs Seahawks betting preview: Can Chicago’s hot offense crack Seattle’s defence?

The Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks meet in Monday Night Football, with both teams arriving off impressive prime-time wins last week.
Chicago beat New England 30-24, while Seattle held Kansas City to just three points in a 20-3 victory.
The game kicks off in Seattle on Tuesday (NZ Time).
It’s a strength-versus-strength matchup: Chicago’s offence ranks third in the NFL in total yards per game, while Seattle’s defence leads the league in yards allowed.
The Bears also bring the NFL’s top rushing attack, but Seattle has not allowed a 100-yard rusher in its last 36 games.
Seattle’s defence is the headline here. The Seahawks limited Patrick Mahomes to a season-low 165 passing yards last week and have allowed no more than 176 passing yards in any game this season.
At home, they’ll be a tough test for Chicago, even with the Bears playing well.
Smith-Njigba has topped 100 receiving yards in six of Seattle’s seven games and leads the NFL with 867 receiving yards. He added 150 yards against Kansas City last week, and Chicago has allowed explosive passing plays throughout the season.
Williams has thrown for more than 300 yards in each of his past two starts, but he faces a Seahawks pass defence ranked first in the league in yards allowed through the air.
Seattle’s defence has yet to give up more than 176 passing yards in a game, making this a demanding matchup for the Bears quarterback.
Charbonnet is set to return from an ACL injury, rejoining to a team crying out for a leading rusher.
The thing that makes this number attractive is that it takes into account Jadarian Price playing, who hasn’t been activated from the injured reserve and is entrenched in trade talks that could see him be a healthy scratch altogether.
If Price was to miss, this would give Charbonnet a clearer path to carries, making 32.5 rushing yards look more attainable. The risk: Charbonnet is also returning from injury, so his workload may still be managed.
Johnson’s role has been limited lately. He had just two carries for 13 yards in the Bears’ last game, playing just nine offensive snaps, while D’Andre Swift handled 26 of Chicago’s 28 running-back opportunities.
With Swift established as the lead back, and Johnson may need a bigger role than recent usage suggests to clear 12.5 yards.
Same Game Multi:
For punters looking for a bigger-price play, take a look at the following multi, which can be played with a Super SGM Cover on Betcha.
  1. Seattle Seahawks Head to Head
  2. Under 31.5 Chicago Bears team total
  3. Jaxon Smith-Njigba anytime touchdown
  4. Jaxon Smith-Njigba 100+ receiving yards
  5. Zach Charbonnet 20+ rushing yards
  6. Cooper Kupp 2+ receptions
  7. AJ Barner 10+ receiving yards
  8. Kalif Raymond 2+ receptions
  9. Colston Loveland 20+ receiving yards
COMBINED ODDS: 16.63
Touchdown picks:
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba anytime touchdown at 1.85
He is Seattle’s leading receiver and has found the end zone eight times this season and I don't see the Bears defence being able to keep him quiet.
  • AJ Barner anytime touchdown at 3.25
The Seahawks tight-end can score from a variety of situations - the standard passing game, but he also doubles as the team's 'QB' when they run the sneak, which Barner has turned into touchdowns this year.
  • Caleb Williams anytime touchdown at 5.60
The Seahawks defence will be suffocating, and I can see Williams getting flustered and flushed out of the pocket, giving him more reason to rush, and if the offence is stagnant, he'll take it into his own hands.
