Collingwood coach Craig McRae has confirmed the club's position on potential wantaway stars Jamie Elliott and Brody Mihocek.
Following his side's 29-point loss to Brisbane in the Preliminary Final, McRae and the Magpies will commence their off-season tilt, re-shuffling their top quality list to build on the season that was.
A major focus for the Pies will be securing their out-of-contract talent for 2026 and beyond, with particular focus on their forward 50 duo.
Both Elliott and Mihocek have deals on the table at the Pies, however reports have suggested that the pair have received enticing offers from rival clubs looking to acquire their talents ahead of next year.
Speaking off the back of Collingwood's loss, McRae confirmed that the club will prioritise their signatures for the forthcoming season.
"We are hopeful (that they will remain at the club)," McRae said on Saturday night.
"It's been put to the back burner, but now it's on the front burner. Let's get busy and work through that. I'll leave it up to others to secure our talent.
"Jamie was enormous again tonight, he's had an enormous year. He is a wanted player.
"We've offered these guys two-year contracts – both of them – I'm not sure if that's out in the media, but I'll let the people doing that job do their job and come in where needed."
Outside of the forward pairing, Tom Mitchell, Wil Parker, Oleg Markov, Roan Steele, Mason Cox, Lachie Sullivan, Iliro Smit, Finlay Macrae, Charlie Dean, Ash Johnson and Billy Frampton all require new deals ahead of 2026, with the Pies expected to commence their list changes in the coming weeks.
