Trade talk: Victorian clubs expected to come for Lions livewire

Brisbane’s Kai Lohmann will likely be a target for clubs in Victoria across the next 18 months.
That is the information being reported by SEN’s Tom Morris who expects big offers to come for the 23-year-old who is contracted until the end of 2027.
Pick 20 in 2021, Ballarat product Lohmann has kicked 89 goals in 70 games for the Lions including 32 so far this season.
Morris believes the two-time premiership livewire will have plenty of interest before he signs his next contract.
“No one in the media is talking about it but clubs are certainly taking about it,” Morris said on Channel 7’s Agenda Setters.
“It’s for 18 months’ time and my understanding is clubs are readying themselves to back up the truck for Kai Lohmann.
“He’s from the Ballarat region initially. I expect huge money to be thrown at Kai Lohmann across the next 12 months to see if they can tempt him to get him back to Victoria.”
Lohmann’s 88 goals since the start of 2024 is the fourth best at Brissie behind Logan Morris (120), Charlie Cameron (112) and Zac Bailey (89).
