Star Cat to undergo surgery

Geelong has confirmed Max Holmes will undergo surgery on the ankle he injured on Thursday night.
The star Cat went down awkwardly during the 27-point win over St Kilda at GMHBA Stadium and appeared to be in significant pain as he came off the ground.
Holmes will now go under the knife to repair a fracture of his right ankle as well as a syndesmosis issue.
"The Geelong Football Club can provide an update on Max Holmes following Thursday night's victory over St Kilda," read a club statement.
"Following further medical assessment, Max Holmes will undergo surgery today to repair a right ankle fracture and syndesmosis injury.
"The Club will provide a return to play timeframe following initial progress post-surgery."
