In devastating news, Geelong Cats superstar Jeremy Cameron has suffered from a confirmed broken arm.
During Saturday’s Grand Final loss to the Brisbane Lions, Cameron charged down a loose ball in the second term, only to collide with teammate Patrick Dangerfield and land hard on his right arm.
Not long after, Cameron charged down Lion Jaspa Fletcher on the wing, taking him to ground and landing awkwardly on his arm in the process.
Despite the severity of the issue, Cameron played out the remainder of the contest, finishing up with eight disposals and two behinds in the loss.
“Obviously brave but there will be other players I’m sure where it will come out with the fullness of time that they were a bit sore,” Chris Scott said.
“He was heavily limited from late in that second quarter.”
7News journalist Mitch Cleary has since confirmed that Cameron has suffered a break in his right arm, and will require surgery over the off-season.
As a result of the injury, Cameron was not present at Geelong's fan day at Kardinia Park.
