18 to 1: Tom Morris’ closest to a flag ladder
SEN’s Tom Morris has completed his closest to a premiership ladder.
Morris revealed his ladder from 18 to 1, with the team in 18th the furthest away of any club from tasting a flag.
The SEN host considered club lists, future potential and the ability to attract players from rivals when completing his rankings.
Check out his ladder below from 18 to 1, with Locked In’s Kane Cornes giving his thoughts on some of the slots Morris put teams in.

18 - Essendon
“Essendon, they’re still on the way down. There’s recency bias with the last 10 quarters they’ve played. What you’re disregarding is the scar tissue this club has. They haven’t won a final since 2004,” Morris said on SEN Locked In.
17 - Port Adelaide
“I’m genuinely worried about them, they think they’re much closer than 17th, which is a bad spot to be in… in three years’ time, I’m frightful,” Cornes said.
16 - Carlton
“I think they’re on the way back down, and it’s a long way back up… they’re a long way away,” Morris said.
15 - GWS
“Yep, I have no issue with that,” Cornes said.
14 - West Coast
“They’re just a long way back, West Coast,” Morris said.
“Yep, it’ll take a while, they’ve got some good signs though,” Cornes added.
13 - Richmond
“Richmond 13, similar to West Coast, long way back but slightly ahead of the Eagles,” Morris said.
12 - St Kilda
“This is just where they live. They just live around that area. That’s what they are,” Cornes said.
11 - North Melbourne
“Slightly low for me,” Cornes said.
10 - Collingwood
“Way too high. I would have Collingwood 17th,” Cornes said.
“From a list perspective, they’re low. But from a club perspective, they can bring in the big names, Morris said.
9 - Melbourne
“There’s something about the Dees, they’ve got a mystique about them,” Morris said.
8 - Adelaide
“Yep. No issue,” Cornes said.
7 - Western Bulldogs
“I’d have them higher if Darcy was sound,” Morris said.
“There’s a worry that we’re never going to get five years of peak Sam Darcy… I’m starting to get nervous that we’ll never get that,” Cornes added.
6 - Geelong
“They’re always there, aren’t they?” Morris said.
5 - Hawthorn
“I just think there are a couple more pieces they need to add. A midfielder would be nice,” Morris said.
“Anyone from Geelong up can win it this year,” Cornes added.
4 - Fremantle
“At four I have the Dockers, they’re flying,” Morris said.
3 - Gold Coast
“I’d flip Gold Coast and Sydney,” Cornes said.
2 - Sydney
“I think Brisbane and Sydney are the two favourites right now,” Morris said.
1 - Brisbane
“Broadly, I think you’re about right here,” Cornes said.
