Melbourne and former Adelaide small forward Shane McAdam has called time on his AFL career.
The high flying 30-year-old only managed 53 games in his six years at AFL level, battling injuries that held him to just three senior games since joining the Dees in 2024.
After rupturing his Achilles in February of 2025, McAdam has been unable to return to action, cutting his career short ahead of his contract expiration at the end of this year.
McAdam booted 73 goals across his 53 games, and joins Tom Campbell as Demons retirees through the 2026 campaign.
The decision opens up a third list spot for the Demons, which they plan to use within tomorrow night's mid-season draft.
