Melbourne Football Club has settled on its plans to commemorate the life of Neale Daniher this Saturday when the club hosts Essendon at the MCG.
The Demons have spent two weeks brainstorming how to celebrate Daniher, who passed away in late May following a lengthy battle with Motor Neurone Disease.
Melbourne's jumpers will have the former coach's initials 'ND' blazed on the front of the jumper, with '1961-2026' written underneath.
Daniher's favourite slogan 'play on' will be written underneath the number on the back of each guernsey.
Essendon will also have 'play on' plastered in the same place. All 46 jumpers will be auctioned, with proceeds going to Fight MND.
In addition to this, a former Demon who played under Daniher between 1998 and 2007 will give the team an old fashioned 'rev up' before they run onto the ground.
The identity of the ex player will be revealed closer to Saturday.
Daniher's favourite song Mr Brightside by The Killers will play before the match, with the club hoping fans sing along.
And at the six-minute mark of the first quarter, supporters from both clubs are being encouraged to 'stand for Neale.'
Daniher wore the number six for 71 of his 82 games at the Bombers.
