Carlton star down with injury concern in AFL Origin

In what looks to be a severe injury, Carlton superstar Jacob Weitering has gone down hard within the first term of State of Origin's return.

Entering a marking contest from behind, Weitering was caught underneath a falling Mitch Georgiades, sandwiched between he and the ground with high impact.

Umpires have halted play as Weitering is stretchered off the ground with suspected concussion and a potential neck injury.

This marks a major concern for the AFL Origin return, with the Carlton star looking in bad shape just weeks out from the home and away season.
