"Easy choice": GWS star's pick for All-Australian captain
Injured GWS midfielder Tom Green has made his call on who will take the helm of the 2026 All-Australian team.
Joining Gary Lyon and Tim Watson on SEN Breakfast, the Giant's vice-captain has made a “really easy” choice on who he thinks will captain the coveted group.
“For me, it’s Jordan Dawson,” Green said.
“He is one of, if not the, best players in the league – I love the way he plays, and I think he is AA captain really easily at the moment.
“He is an absolute champion and warrior, and he has had to be for himself, his family and his club this year.
“Not only that – but his performance and ability to impact the scoreboard.
"The Crows have played a lot of close games this year, and it feels like in every single big moment there is – he’s involved in it.
“Whether it’s going back and taking marks, going forward and kicking goals, winning the ball at stoppage, getting involved and setting goals up – he’s been amazing.”
Captaining Adelaide since 2023, Dawson has had an explosive season on-field, averaging 25 disposals, 3.7 clearances and 17.7 kicks.

Despite navigating an intensely emotional season of the field after losing his brother Jaryd in April, Dawson has been crucial in the Crows' eight wins of the season.
In a Round 13 blockbuster match against the Cats, Dawson pushed his Crows over the line to take home a one-point win, with three goals and 22 disposals.
The dual AA star went on to replicate his efforts last weekend against the Bulldogs, taking home three goals and 32 disposals, along with the win.
