Trade talk: Sydney forward set to request trade to Collingwood

Out of contract Sydney forward Jack Buller will request a trade to Collingwood this off-season, reports AFL Media’s Cal Twomey.
SEN’s Sam Edmund last revealed that the Magpies were keen on luring the 10-gamer to the club, and Twomey now foresees the key tall making the switch.
The 2023 Mid-Season draftee from Claremont kicked 11 goals in the last nine games of Sydney’s 2025 season, including a three-goal, eight-mark performance in Round 24 against West Coast.
According to Twomey, the 24-year-old 199cm target has a two-year deal on the table with the Magpies, with Collingwood footy boss Charlie Gardiner, who previously worked at Sydney, a key link between the two parties.
He discussed Collingwood’s Buller pursuit with Riley Beveridge on AFL.com.au’s Gettable.
Beveridge: “Jack Buller is uncontracted at Sydney but has interest from Collingwood.
“He’s yet to request a trade from the Swans, but this is an interesting one for the Pies in the sense that they clearly want to get younger at both ends of the field.”
Twomey: “Yet to but will. He’s going to request a trade is my expectation to Collingwood from Sydney.
“He has a two-year offer on the table there (from Collingwood) and he’s met with them in recent days.
“Charlie Gardiner is the link there, having been at the Swans now at the Pies.
“I think it also points to Brody Mihocek. Is he (Mihocek) out the door, and is he (Buller) the replacement?”
The Magpies reportedly have a two-year deal in front of Mihocek, who is also weighing up a three-year offer at Melbourne.
