Cats B&F: Holmes goes back-to-back; underrated mid finishes 4th
Max Holmes won his second straight Carji Greeves Medal as Geelong’s best and fairest in a Grand Final year.
The gun midfielder polled 175 votes to beat All-Australian duo - prized recruit Bailey Smith (155) and star forward Jeremy Cameron (145) in third.
Underrated midfielder Tom Atkins (141) finished fourth while the versatile Mark Blicavs (122) rounded out the top five.
Other award winners on the night included Connor O’Sullivan who was named Best Young Player, Atkins (fourth consecutive) and Blicavs (second win) shared the Tom Harley Best Club Person Award, while Shaun Mannagh was named the Carter Family Community Champion.
