Buckley and Whateley’s top four seeds after Round 23, 2025
Nathan Buckley and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 23 of the 2025 AFL season.
Buckley and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.
The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.
See the seedings below:

BUCKLEY
1 - Adelaide
2 - Geelong
3 - Brisbane
4 - Hawthorn
“It's pretty close to a play-out game, because the winner of that Brisbane Hawthorn game is very likely to get a double chance," Buckley said.
"There's a bit riding on that as well - it means a lot going itno September, the difference between fourth and seventh is significant."
WHATELEY
1 - Brisbane
"Brisbane's best is the best. If they roll it out for five straight weeks, they'll win the flag," Whateley said.
"I feel much more comfortable having Brisbane as my one seed, even though there's a chance they lose to Hawthorn and finish sixth."
2 - Geelong
3 - Adelaide
“I'm not all in on Adelaide.”
4 - Hawthorn
“I like the way they're shaping.”
