DEFENDERS
“Josh Worrell is in. Amazing year intercepting in the back line,” Cooney said on SEN Breakfast.
“I’ve got Sam Taylor in at full-back. Now I know he's missed a fair chunk of footy, but I think he's been the premier full-back this season.
“Bailey Dale or Lachie Ash in the other back pocket, take your pick. I'll just go with the Dogs flavour.
“Nasiah at half-back. Harris Andrews is a lock at centre half-back. I went with Jordan Clark on the other half-back flank.
“Andrews is my captain.”
MIDFIELD
“The two wingers who aren't really wingers, Bailey Smith and Max Holmes, so two Cats on the wings.
“In the middle of the ground, Brodie Grundy is my ruck over Max Gawn. Max had a great year with a slowish start, and he hasn't dominated games the way he has done in the past, and I think Brodie Grundy has.
“I think Brodie Grundy's had more impact, in terms of when Sydney have played well than Max Gawn for Melbourne.
“I went with Jordan Dawson, had a great year. Nick Daicos slides in there.
“And Noah Anderson, he's had a couple of down weeks, but I think he's done enough to get a starting spot in the midfield.”
FORWARDS
“Anderson just pushes Hughie McCluggage to half-forward.
“Riley Thilthorpe, he locks himself in at centre half-forward. Isaac Heeney, goal-kicking mid who rests at half-forward.
“Kozzie Pickett in the pocket, Jezza Cameron picks himself, and a big weekend recently from Jack Gunston sees him go in the other forward pocket.
“So, I've got three talls in my front six.”
INTERCHANGE
“On my pine is Matt Rowell, and Ed Richards, I think he's done enough.
“Marcus Bontempelli missed a lot, but he's dominated. He might even tie for the Brownlow this year.
“And rounding out the interchange is Finn Callaghan. I love him.”
