Ed Allan was the standout for the Pies, collecting 23 and a goal.
A number of Tigers put their name up for selection, with Tyler Sonsie and Kaleb Smith combining for 68 touches and Jacob Bauer bagging four goals as Richmond fell to Frankston by 25 points.
The travelling Giants claimed a strong 53-point win over the Casey Demons, led by 29 disposals, 33 hit outs and 13 clearances from 20-year-old ruckman Nicholas Madden.
27 and 11 marks for young James Leake will leave his name in contention for GWS, while former Saint Riley Bonner managed 36 and a goal for the Demons.
After being dropped from the senior side, Melbourne’s Bayley Fritsch found just 11 disposals and one goal, while Jacob Van Rooyen’s nine touches and one goal will potentially see the key forward remain with Casey in the coming weeks.
Despite the Suns’ 55-point loss at the hands of Southport, Brayden Fiorini stole the headlines from the weekend’s action, collecting a whopping 47 disposals and eight tackles in the contest.
Off the back of a 43-disposal haul last week, Fiorini will certainly be on Damien Hardwick’s mind entering Round 7 following Gold Coast’s loss to Richmond.
