Kiwi striker Chris Wood has been rewarded for his outstanding campaign with Nottingham Forest with a new contract.
The All Whites captain has inked an extension which will keep him with the club until 2027.
He originally joined the team on loan from Newcastle back in 2023, before making the move permanent in June that same year.
The Aucklander has been a driving force in the team's surge to the top of the Premier League in 2024/25, scoring 14 goals in 22 appearances to sit fourth-equal in the race for the golden boot.
In just two years at the City ground, the 33-year-old has become Forest's all-time leading goal-scorer, surpassing Bryan Roy's record of 24 in December.
"I'm very excited and very happy to have it completed and done, and I'm looking forward to the next couple of years, at least," Wood said.
"I saw the ambition when I first arrived. When I spoke to the owner and his family and saw where they want to be and where they see this club to be - it was clear they have high ambitions and big dreams. He has backed the club for years, even before promotion to the Premier League, which is fantastic, and the team is pushing in the right direction.
"I can't thank the fans enough, they always come in voice and they're always behind the team and myself, it's a pleasure playing in front of them. Here's to a few more years together."
His original deal with Forest was due to expire at the end of this season.
Currently sitting in third on the EPL ladder, Wood's Forest face Bournemouth on Sunday.
