Ange Postecoglou has been sacked by Tottenham in only his second season as manager of the North London club
After finishing 17th place in the Premier League with 22 loses in 38 games, reports had followed the Australian that he would be moved on from his role at the Spurs at the conclusion of the season, irrespective of his Europa League victory.
Expected to hit the market now, Ange's attacking, physical football will certainly appeal to a number of European clubs looking to progress into top-end competitions.
With Postecoglou's phenomenal cup reputation, football analyst Craig Foster believes his European form will be a major factor in landing another top job.
“It depends,” Foster told SEN’s Dwayne’s World.
“If he wins that Europa League, then I think you’re talking about those who are fighting for Champions League spots.
“In France, certainly in Germany where I think his football would be really great and I think they would acknowledge that.
“It is fast, it is aggressive, it is physical and of course it is attacking.
Foster also suggested that Postecoglou could also remain in the EPL with a new club.
“When it comes to the EPL, you still want to try and be in a position where you can get a top half club.
“You certainly don’t want to be going any further below that.”
Foster believes Ange’s ability to take Tottenham to the final after an injury-riddled season will certainly raise his value in the manager market.
“Everyone knows that a final can be very difficult to call,” he continued.
“To make the final given all the injuries and given their season would be a massive feather in his cap, irrespective of win or lose.
“And, in the shop window for other clubs all across the top leagues of Europe? Yes, very very important.
“To be able to say, ‘first year - fifth - capable of performing in the Premier League, I showed that last year, I’m also a European champion, therefore when I come to your club, I’m bringing expertise in the cup competition as well which is very desirable’.”
