Wednesday best bets from Pfitzner & Luke (06/05)
Miles Pfitzner & Cam Luke have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Warrnambool, Warwick Farm & Eagle Farm in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Miles Pfitzner
WARRNAMBOOL
Race 8 | 2. Corniche
Running well. Didn’t mind the run in the Hareeba. This prep been excellent going should suit. Each-way.
Race 9 | 12. Du Clisson
I think in the stable to follow for the carnival. Perfect placement here. It’s best would belt these and very good last 600m.
Race 10 | 4. Almairac
From a stable I respect. Going be ok and looks weak enough for this horse. Small each-way.
WARWICK FARM
Race 1 | 1. Graffiti Tycoon
Multi lock.
EAGLE FARM
Race 6 | 1. Editing
Drops from 78/72 grade to a class one here. Horse goes fresh. Should be 2-3 dollars. Each-way all day and hard.
Race 7 | 3. Vein Girl
Drift slightly concerning but ready for this.

Cam Luke
WARRNAMBOOL
Race 6 | 1. Highland Blaze
Even if you dismiss he is the GN winner, his two runs on the flat this prep have been outstanding. Hit the line really well in the RH and off a hot tempo was good late as well at Sandown. That tips him off perfectly for this. Heavy track as per for jumpers is fine and he is short but deserves it and is the class horse with a lot of scope to come.
Race 7 | 6. Thebelmontgangster
He can be a little hard to get a read on but I think the track was a tad hard for him resuming. I'm also not sure he loves Caulfield. Drawn nicely here to be forward in the run. He hasn't been on a HT but soft in Ireland win and he did beat Observer. Little freshen and stays at 1400m works and if he shows his best and I think he will, he'll beat these. The fact we are getting $6 is a lovely result.
Race 8 | 6. La Fracas
Hasn’t had a huge amount of luck this prep, both firm tracks and bad barriers. He has also ran into very nice horses (Flying For Fun / Recon) He is primed to peak fourth up (has won before 4th up), is a freak on a heavy track and is well weighted. The gate is the small concern as he gets back and he will been a smidge of luck with both the track playing and weaving through but he is due for luck and if he gets it, he'll win. Fave is the danger and the only other in the Quad but I'm with the mud lover!
Race 10 | 7. Royal Emblem
Interesting former import here for his first time in Aust. Beat home Mukhtalif last start and he was pretty good on Oz debut. 2000m is the right kick off point as well. Wasn't a star in trials but it was 800m and occasionally these horses can blow trial form away. Heavy track and inside draw a query but not many can plot a course like JA here so I'll back him in. Got a couple in the Quaddie but have a small play on this bloke.
WARWICK FARM
Race 5 | 13. Superfabulistic
Was a huge run last start considering was three wide when circumstances worked against the jock. Hit the line well and no doubt will love first time at 1600m (up from 1550m) It's a tougher race in name only, not in quality so up in grade isn't a factor for me. (Lontrice out of a maiden / MR was a fair way off them in a 72 albeit Saturday grade last start but both are dangers here). Jumped a tad on the back foot last start so hoping jumps well and will go control it from that gate and be very hard to catch!
Race 7 | 10. Blitzgal
I backed her last start and I am willing to forgive her as she had to work way to hard early. She was far from disgraced (three wide no cover hot tempo) and she might even like the sting out of the ground. She certainly needs some luck and I am interested to see if they try and find cover today. Rawja beat her home but had a much easier run and she now meets her a little better at the weights. Her debut win was good enough for this and the slight rise in class isnt a big deal. Will run well!!
