VFL Round 7: Brownlow Medallist returns, veteran Blue dominates
VFL's Round 7 has wrapped up, with a number of AFL listed talent putting their names in the mix for senior selection.

Former Brownlow Medallist Tom Mitchell made his long-awaited return from injury, suiting up for the Pies VFL in their 75-point win over the Bullants.
The 31-year-old only featured within the first half, collecting 10 disposals, six clearances and four tackles. Wil Parker shone with 28 touches and 13 marks in the back half, while Charlie West booted four.
Essendon’s VFL unit delivered a dominant 65-point victory over the Swans, led by former top five pick Elijah Tsatas. 41 disposals, 10 clearances and a goal for Tsatas, while Jayden Laverde’s 32 will leave him in good stead for a senior return following injuries within the top side. Sydney;s Taylor Adams also made his return to football, managing 14 touches and three clearances after extended time out with a hamstring.
Western Bulldogs veteran Taylor Duryea was a standout in their contest with Casey, collecting 32 touches and eight tackles as the Dogs claimed victory by three goals.
Young gun Luke Kennedy amassed an impressive 28 disposals and three goals in the win, while Anthony Scott managed 30. For Casey, Bailey Laurie led the line with 27 and six clearances.
Young key Max Ramsden played his best game of the VFL season thus far, stuffing the stat sheet with 21 disposals, 28 hit outs, five tackles, six clearances and a goal as the Box Hill Hawks took down Werribee by 16 points.
Bodie Ryan (24 disposals, 12 marks) and Seamus Mitchell (29 disposals, 11 marks) also played strong games for the Hawks, while mid-season draft prospect Dom Brew ran rampant for Werribee yet again with 35 touches, 10 tackles and 10 clearances.
Sam Docherty dominated in his return to the Blues’ VFL side, with 38 touches and 14 marks against Sandringham making his case for a senior side return. Ben Camporeale also put together his strongest game of the VFL campaign with 34 disposals and five tackles to plead his case for an AFL debut.
Zak Jones’ three goals and 30 touches led the line for the Zebras, while young gun Tobie Travaglia had a further 30 after being an unused sub for St Kilda last weekend.
Other standout performers include North Melbourne’s Will Phillips (25 disposals, seven tackles), Carlton’s Billy Wilson (27 disposals, 11 marks), GWS’ Nicholas Madden (18 disposals, 41 hit outs) and Max Gruzewski (six marks, four goals), Sydney’s Peter Ladhams (23 disposals, 17 hit outs) and Sandringham’s Hunter Clark (24 disposals, seven tackles, eight clearances).
