Thursday best bets from Luke & Pfitzner (11/09)
Cam Luke & Miles Pfitzner have your Thursday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Seymour, Hawkesbury, Warwick & Lismore in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
SEYMOUR
Race 2 | 7. Well I'll Be (each-way)
This race has a bit of depth about it and from that gate I doubt this bloke can win but getting back onto a turf track (didn’t handle Syntho or race shape) and another crack at the mile, I think are ticks. Going back to last at Seymour isn’t necessarily brilliant but Benny Allen is in wonderful form and there will be a bit of speed upfront. I’ll do a backflip of joy if he jumps well and was able to squeeze forward and get a position but I do expect him to get back but run on really well and he’s a great each way play.
Race 5 | 7. Soroush
Was pretty good on debut when it was clear he had a lot to learn. Got tipped out straight away and has had three jump outs leading to this and looks like has matured. Form from thah race (Regal Award) has stood up and I think he is the bloke who can get the fave (Cafe) who does have a race under her belt! Star jockey can find a backside and allow him to have last crack!
Race 6 | 7. Perfect Picture
Had no luck resuming in Town when three wide! Staying at the 1200m I do like as she did that in her first prep and ran really well in what is a tougher race than this. The fav is drawn wider and will squeeze forward so Childs might be able to slide onto the backside and stalk the speed. Soft track won’t stop her and if she brings the same form she did last start with a little bit of luck she’ll be very hard to beat.
HAWKESBURY
Race 4 | 5. The Pearls
Was pretty good last start in town where she hit a little flat spot which makes me think the 1300m is going to suit her today. She’ll sit in a fairly similar position like she did in that race, a couple off the speed. Toe in the ground not an issue and much smaller field now means she will get a perfect run in transit. This is easier than last start and I expect her to run really well.
Race 6 | 8. Empire Of Art
This bloke finally gets a 2000m with the prep going the way it is I think works perfectly. Drawn to box seat right behind Devil Rider. His form a couple back behind Hooligan Tommy is well and truly good enough for this. Soft track no issue although a heavy might be a Q, due to the fact he has never been there. Alabama Blitz is the danger (especially if we get to a Heavy) but I’m siding with the bloke who has more distance upside.
LISMORE
Race 5 | 4. Fragile Love
Like the rest of the country, I’m with Fragile Love but I can see why. She was brilliant too back at Eagle farm and last night in a much tougher race than I thought she was pretty good but was screaming out for the 1100m. She gets that today. Jett Newman takes two off and might even try and be a little closer than normal from the good gate. Plenty of speed in race (Lady Wardell/Kash) which also helps her. Her Melb form was strong before the shift North and has been very well placed today. Wins!
Race 6 | 1. Wild Chap
The huge weight is offset by the 2kg claim but he does handle weight relatively well. He was great last start in a tougher race carrying a decent impost and this is easier from a perfect gate. Can box seat behind Monastery but won’t want to get any bad luck as he doe like to roll along like he did last start when stalked speed. He is a tough horse and a repeat of last start has him in this up to his eyeballs!

Miles Pfitzner
A day of close to eight shorties across Seymour and Hawkesbury. We’ll have to check tracks but hopefully some of you took a double suggested yesterday and we run a multi today.
MULTI 1
SEYMOURRace 3 | 5. Star TripRace 4 | 14. Seven Oceans
HAWKESBURYRace 2 | 3. Jellicious
These three I think represent the three best of the short price faces. We took on air yesterday to star trip Jelliliocus double and what a move we have seen this morning. Not much we can do but out together and hope.

Two others we play on a dead set reach. As what we’ll do with the shorties is srms all day.
SEYMOUR
Race 6 | 7. Perfect Picture
Arguably the best combo in racing bat thr moment in Begg and Childs. This horse ran behind Keeni last start who I have a little time for. Lightly raced and what seems back in grade here. Can knockoff the fave.
WARWICK
Race 6 | 1. Winchman
Huge claim here coming back from a competitive class one at Doomben. Should be on speed and hard to run down.
