Saturday’s racing across Caulfield and Randwick saw some massive wins by several horses.
From Sir Delius winning his first Group 1 to Birdman edging out Adelaide River, the day had plenty of fantastic stories.
See the top five wins from Saturday below:
1 – Sir Delius
Sir Delius has now firmly established himself as the Melbourne Cup favourite, winning the Group 1 Underwood Stakes (1800m) in impressive fashion.
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained bay flew home at the 400m mark and denied Buckaroo from winning back-to-back Underwood Stakes.
2 – Half Yours
Half Yours won the Group 3 Naturalism Stakes (2000m), establishing himself as a real Caulfield Cup threat.
At the 200m Half Yours bolted home, proving he has what it takes to win the 2400m Caulfield Cup.
3 – Joliestar
At the 800m Joliestar was in last place, but the backmarker flew home in incredible fashion.
Is Joliestar an Everest chance?
4 – Sepals
Sepals proved once again why it's a 1400m extraordinaire.
The four-year-old is unbeaten at the distance and it is now a Group 1 winner.
Big things are coming his way.
5 – Birdman
In an exceptional display of grit, Birdman and Adelaide River were in a class of their own, battling one another for the Group 3 Kingston Town Stakes (2000m).
Birdman narrowly beat Adelaide River in a photo finish.
This is a must watch!
