With three former Titans facing their old club, the Warriors could secure their first home win over the Titans since 2019 this Saturday.
Joining Sport Nation’s Scotty & Izzy, Alofiana Khan-Pereira said it's always been a pleasure to play against the Warriors and it feels good to now be wearing their colours on the field.
“I can't believe that it's actually happening. I get to play for a club that's been so rich in history and to play against the Titans is so exciting for me."
“I just can't wait.”
Khan-Pereira joined the Warriors from the Titans this season, making his debut in a historic upset for the Melbourne Storm last week.
He found it humorous that the Titans always get booed at Cbus Stadium in the Gold Coast by many Warriors fans.
“I can’t wait to be on the other side of that,” he laughed.
Warriors halfback Tanah Boyd and forward Erin Clark also joined the Warriors in 2025 after moving from the Titans.
While discussing his Warriors debut last week, Khan-Pereira said being his first time, he just wanted to earn the respect of his teammates.
“So going forward, I got to put that towards my game.”
Khan-Pereria expressed his respect for teammate Boyd who has shown great leadership so far this season.
“He's been sensational, he's been real dialled in and real focused this year."
“You can tell that when he walks through the club he's just head down, cap down, and he just wants to get his work done.”
With only minor changes to this weekend's team list, including re-naming co-captain Mitch Barnett who returns from injury, Khan-Pereira says sticking to the same system and working on team connection will remain a priority.
