Voss slams Daley over massive squad changes for Game I

Andrew Voss has criticised Laurie Daley after the NSW coach swung the selection axe for Game I.
Entering his seventh series as NSW coach, Daley only has one series win to show for his efforts.
With the Canberra Raiders legend entering the final year of his contract, there is plenty of pressure on his position going into this series.
Following last year’s series loss, Daley said that this NSW squad was capable of something special.
But with only five players from the starting 13 of last year's Game III returning to their starting spots, this led Voss to wonder why Daley kept his position given his previous comments.
“I went back to Laurie Daley post losing the series last year, and Laurie, in pitching for the fact that he should be retained as coach, said that he was the best man for the job and they were building something special,” Voss said on SEN’s Front Office with Vossy.
“This is despite the fact they'd lost the series that they were defending, and his quote was, 'I don't see any reason why this group can't win next year's series'.
“So Latrell Mitchell is out injured, that's a mystery.
“(Zac) Lomax obviously not available, Payne Haas not available, Liam Martin, so there's four that we had to find replacements for, although the squad is now 20 players.
“So the blokes who were there Game 3 last year, the I don't see any reason why this group can't win next year's series of Dylan Edwards, Jarome Luai, Max King, Angus Crichton, Connor Watson, Spencer Leniu (and) Stefano Utoikamanu have all lost their places.
“(But) Laurie kept his job.
“I'm not being a narky, but Laurie keeps his job, but there are no less than seven players (who) lost theirs on the back of losing a series last year.”
Voss would add that he believed Edwards was the hardest done by with his non-selection.
“The player that I would push the case for most is Dylan Edwards,” he added.
“As good as Teddy's form's been, of course…going on everything Laurie said at the end of last year's series, Dylan Edwards does not deserve to lose his spot.”
