Coach Rob Penney has opened up on the painful end to his Crusaders tenure, admitting his side were left "shell-shocked" by their semi-final demolition at the hands of the Chiefs.
Speaking on Sport Nation's Millsy & Guy, the departing coach reflected on the challenges of navigating injuries, the pressure of a relentless run of must-win matches, and the disappointment of falling short after guiding the Crusaders back into title contention, the side falling to an emphatic 49-12 defeat in Hamilton on Friday.
Penney also discussed the future of Super Rugby and why - despite popular opinion - he believes the competition is well placed for the future.
The veteran coach further revealed what lies ahead for him after stepping down, reflecting on the highs and lows of his three years in charge.
