SENTrack: Wednesday best bets from Cam Luke & Miles Pfitzner (26/02)
Cam Luke & Miles Pfitzner have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Launceston, Sandown & Rosehill in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
LAUNCESTON
Race 8 | 9. Pure Grunt (each-way)
Was really good last start winning in Town and the race presents nicely for him. He is down in the weights but has a tricky gate where tiny luck will be needed. It’s a strong Cup but I like this bloke to be hitting the line really well!!
Race 10 | 2. Wheeling
Jump and go bang! Horse is in form and the claim makes sure he gets in OK in the weights. This is slightly tougher than the win last start but the horse speed maps nicely and expect them to have to catch him. The fave (Gee Gees Me Boy) is way too short but could box seat with the superstar D.Lane on board and be hard to beat.
SANDOWN
Race 5 | 2. Blushing Tycoon
Comes out of a tougher races where the winner has a huge amount of promise. This is way easier with identical conditions. Drawn perfectly to get a nice trail into the race although not a major amount of speed on paper so might even be closer than normal. The use of the Stanley claim is smart call. Nothingelsematters is the danger. third up to the 1800m, ridden by a star and the form from the Pakky race is good enough for this.
ROSEHILL
Race 1 | 7. President
Short here resuming after a couple of quiet trials. Been in tougher races in this first prep including Group 2 company. Drawn nicely so can squeeze forward and be close to the speed which I expect to be the 5 Marais. Hard to dive in at the price but the 1200m kick off feels perfect.
Race 3 | 2. Wa Wa Wa
Blinkers go on as does Nash. He is drawn poll and should control the race up to the 1500m which he clearly needs. Had no excuses last start when short but this is a nice set up. As long as Go Zola doesn’t annoy us too much in front , he will be very hard to run down.
Race 5 | 6. Imperial Force
Had ZERO luck in the Ming Dynasty and should have finished closer to Lady Shenandoah than the 3.5 lengths. Change of stable and couple of nice trials help my confidence. Good track and speed map suits. Winchester will go forward from inside draw (2) and Tim Clark should be able to box seat or sit outside leader.

Miles Pfitzner
LAUNCESTON
Race 3 | 3. Victory Tune
Some of the sectional data around this horse indicates this is the wrong price. 5.5 off field of play in the blue diamond prelude. Comes down here as really the class 2yo of the field. Tongue tie on. Each-way all day for me.
Race 8 | 1. Promises Kept
Ridden upside down last start and probably should have won. Similar field here. Not unbeatable but his race to lose.
Race 9 | 2. Munhamek
Two and a half off Duke De Sessa and form around Marble Arch in Melbourne is rock solid. The Inevitable didn’t pull up his best after last start and can mix his form the champ but this horse is flying. Placement to perfection.
