SENTrack: Thursday best bets from Cam Luke & Miles Pfitzner (22/05)
Cam Luke & Miles Pfitzner have your Thursday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Ballarat (Synthetic) & Goulburn in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
BALLARAT (SYNTHETIC)
Race 5 | 1. Lady Dumont
She hasn’t been in the best of form but ignore that as she normally runs better deeper into a prep and she is a jet on the Syntho. The claim helps and even from that gate is like to try and see Jordyn Weatherley try and show intent as there isn’t a huge amount of speed in the race. Hoax is really the only leader but has been really poor in both Vic runs. Miss Mahjong and Fayetta probably the two biggest chances but speed maps might work against them.
Race 7 | 4. Scream
Set up to get a perfect run in transit with a fair amount of speed with faves Just Remember It and Tochka both leaders and from this gate John Allen can park right behind it. Second up form is brilliant so ignore first up run and it’s a horse who can handle the syntho well. The three I have in the quaddie are all who I mentioned but I do expect Scream to be the one to beat!
GOULBURN
Race 6 | 3. The Beast (each-way)
Was OK first-up where had to work hard early when posted wide and should strip fitter second-up. Back to the 1600m is a plus as is the gate so work to any work to sit in box or even lead with Dwayne or is another I expect to be forward. Ended the first prep running a couple of nice races without winning. I think he will even enjoy more ground but if this race is a little grind he can run really well and is over the odds. Barbray the one to beat and handled heavy last start bit too short for me considering he missed the kick last start.
Race 7 | 4. Strassman
Scratchings galore in this race and it leaves me liking this bloke. Stays at the 1300m which helps after he was better last start and with the small field and the fact the middle of the track will be the place to be he will be able to find the best part of the track . He’ll go sit outside or stalk Jared (fav). Heavier would be better and I think fitness will tell the story in the straight.

Miles Pfitzner
BALLARAT (SYNTHETIC)
Race 2 | 12. Ville De Lumiere
Concentrating solely on the synthetic today for the bests and the McEvoy’s take a strong team. Inside draw and this horse can jump in speed so either lead or box seat. Best runs were some time ago but this horse can go ok fresh. Few gear changes here as well. Not the hardest.
Race 4 | 1. Dillinger
Gets the big weight here for good reason. Coming off last start BM70 win in town back to synthetic where he doesn’t miss a place. Clock super compared to this field. Claim helps.
Race 6 | 1. Strike Gold
Ex-Singapore galloper who raced at Group 2 level as a 3yo. Won two class 4's there in last three starts. First start here at Bendigo told me win not far away and his record on the synth in Singapore is three from five. I love horses second start in a new country. Ticks a lot of boxes.
