MORPHETTVILLE - Race 5, No.3 - ElphinstoneHad ZERO luck last start in a strong form race with both Duk De Sessa and Marble Ach running huge since. Has had a jump out since and will appreciate both the nice gate and the tow into the race from Flash Flood. Samurai Mind the danger but 2nd-up form wasn’t great in first prep and needs luck from gate 1, hopefully three pairs back!
MORPHETTVILLE - Race 3, No.7 - Super AlanaWill Absolutely control the race from the gate. Blake Shinn will give this horse the perfect tempo and have to go back a long way to see the last time she didn’t run well. Sabaj is odds on in the Guineas and has to work hard to beat her last start. The danger is Spirit Of Camelot but is normally a tad better 2nd-up and from gate 1 will need some luck and by time it’s out, SA will be gone.
MORPHETTVILLE - Race 7, No.8 - NewfoundlandWill go control the race with a nice weight. Wasn’t bad behind Deakin at MV last start off a 6-week break. Quicker back up here advantage. Jamie Melham in seat also a major bonus. Hasn’t been to 3200 since last Euro run where he had to carry 60. Will be very hard to beat!!
WARRNAMBOOL - Race 6, No.10 - Miss Top Gun (each-way)Wasn’t bad at Terang where got home late after being 3 wide in a crappy race dominated by leaders. 1300 should suit on back of that and with the gate and claim I do expect it to be a little closer in the run. The other Dabening runner (My Angel Shell) is the danger after running well behind Just Like Gaby at MV. Sticky gate means speed will be on though so hoping MTG can have the run of the race!
COWRA - Race 2, No.4 - HellaramaWas decent in 2 tougher races in 1st prep. Been gelded and comes back now after a couple of nice trials. Will be very hard to beat! Fireup isn’t too much different and will lead off 2 trials but think Hellarama is a bit classier.
COWRA - Race 3, No.2 - Chico CasinoGets back to 1200 which is more suitable. Harder race last start and the 1400 doesn’t suit! Will squeeze forward and sit outside Into Fire. All Astern normally runs well fresh but from that gate needs luck and fitness against him with CC.
Campbell Brown
MORPHETTVILLE - Race 2, No.14 - Palm Of JumeirahAbsolutely bombed out of the gates last start, tacked on and made really good ground late. Forget went around. First-up effort was good. If jumps well, $6.50 each-way all day.
WARRNAMBOOL - Race 5, No.7 - Gin BabaHow this thing got beat last start is beyond me. 3 seconds in a row, either means he lacks heart or has been unlucky. Giving one more chance.
COWRA - Race 3, No.2 - Chico CasinoOnly 2 wins have been over 1200m. Very fast horse, back to pet distance. Should be too speedy.
MACKAY - Race 4, No.3 - Last Ditch EffortGood first-up record, performances on soft track have been full of merit. If favourite is vulnerable, he will be charging late.
DEVONPORT - Race 1, No.3 - Dynamic TheoryIf this horse jumps and leads, forget about it. Will win. Head shoulders better than this lot based on what we saw last prep.
