SENTrack: Friday best bets from Campbell Brown & Cam Luke (09/05)
Campbell Brown & Cam Luke are in the hot seat this Friday.
The lads have taken a look at Geelong, Mount Gambier, Gatton, Grafton & Canberra to find the Track family a few winners.
See their best bets below: 👇
Campbell Brown
GEELONG
Race 3 | 3. Golden Mikki
Was out the back showing no interest first up and just followed them around, the key to improvement will be up to 1300m and leading on this horse jump and be positive and he will be in it for a long way.
MOUNT GAMBIER
Race 4 | 3. Pinchbeck
Will jump and go forward in his customary role. Handles soft ground and should be the one they have to run down.
GRAFTON
Race 7 | 6. Wilderness Star
This horse loves a heavy track and has been really competitive in tougher races than this. 3kg claimed, good barrier and not a lot of speed. Best in country $4.60.
GATTON
Race 5 | 3. Victory's Ghost
Six weeks in between runs only slightly concern. Maps beautifully and Has got this lot covered if right. $2.20.
CANBERRA
Race 4 | 1. Final Comment
Third-up today stepping up to 2000m is nice. Handles the soft conditions. Gets in with 61kg after the claim. $4.60 is overs. Will run well!

Cam Luke
GEELONG
Race 3 | 6. Saltburn
If he goes straight and hoping the what change helps he will go bang. Really liked him at Sandown where he was about to let down but was hard to ride. Drawn wide but little squeeze in a small field he should be able to find a nice spot with cover. Here to the 1400m second up which helps as his best runs last prep were over 1500m. The danger is the fave Storm Capital who is a nice horse and will be the one I think Saltburn follows but the added fitness and hopefully manners has me all over Saltburn.
Race 5 | 9. Zaaffair Steal
Was OK but ran out of puff late up from 1400m to 2000m and will be better for it today. Beat home Rogan who went on to win in town last Saturday. Firm deck a big plus and has been in better races than this prior over this similar distance. Open race as these races normally are but expect this horse to go very close!
Race 8 | 8. Angel Of The Sea
Won here before being sent for a break. She is a nice filly who gave the feel she will improve and her recent jump out suggests she has matured nicely. She will go back probably but the speed is there so should have every chance. The race isn’t full of cream and I’d say Lygon Street Luigi is the danger who runs well 1st up and was pretty decent last prep but Angel Of The Sea has more class and will be hard to beat.
GRAFTON
Race 8 | 5. Veandechance
Back from six weeks off so back to 1400m not an issue after nice win over the mile last start. Loves the slop and I think they’ll be coming down the outside so the gate is no issue. Very open race and the track playing is key by this time but this girl will be deep on the finish.
GATTON
Race 8 | 2. Cosmic Beauty
This is easier than Eagle Farm last start where she was a tad flat. Runs well third up and with the scratchings come into a gate where she will push forward. Gets back to 1400m where she enjoys it more than the 1200m and I expect her to be even better a tad further which with the speed in this race she will enjoy!! Only Been A Secret is the danger and again in nice form but I think Cosmic Beauty is better over the 1400m.
CANBERRA
Race 6 | 7. Premosphere
Was meh resuming in town but sat wide and had excuses. Normally runs well second up and also enjoy a softer track. Back to the 1000m and from that gate, I’d like to see him go forward and make them run past him with his extra fitness. Can run a nice race here.
