We were with him last start where he missed by the slimmest of margins but I am happy to give him another go, suited here on his home track.
The Keith Dryden trained galloper has been knocking on the door this preparation with a strong 7th in the Listed National Sprint 2 starts back reading beautifully for this.
He is drawn to settle just in behind the speed underneath leading jockey Blaike McDougall who can get him in the clear at the right time and score for us around the $3.70 mark at time of writing.
Race 9 #8 Good Prize
This son of Prized Icon showed his credentials at mile when tested at the trip for the first time last start. He was ultra impressive that day, running away from his rivals.
While the gate (Barrier 9) is a touch tricky, he is in well at the weights on the minimum in this Open Handicap and if he can get some luck in that first furlong he is going to be mighty hard to hold out.
Trainer Gratz Vella looks to have worked this bloke out and he can go back-to-back.
