Luvski was going to win last time at Shepparton, but galloped when the pressure went on. Late last preparation he sat parked to the smart Kings Guard and beat him home. He’s got a lot of ability and I’d be surprised if he didn’t go close on his best manners.

I’m a huge fan of Fremarkstilly, who has won five of seven starts for Tyrone Abela and would have prevailed in the other two if she didn’t gallop. There looks plenty of speed off the front here and I’m backing Josh Duggan to navigate a path away from the inside to victory.

Playing the speed map a bit here, with Christmas Babe expected to lead and Lady In The Sky settling in behind. She hit the line nicely for fourth to Frosty Girl in the heat of this series and chased home Fremarkstilly for second before that. Looks big odds.

Queen Elida goes on top here but only just, and the price difference between her and Ebons Avenger is too big in my opinion. Ebonys Avenger has good gate speed, should get to the pegs and is racing in great form. Keen on an each-way play, with more the place than the win.
