Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has continued its strong performance in Western Australia, reinforcing its position as the leading publisher of WA-produced audio content, following the release of the Australian Podcast Ranker results for April 2026.
SEN’s locally produced shows - SEN WA Breakfast and Mornings with Mark Duffield - remain the only dedicated programs based and produced in Western Australia to feature in the Australian Top 300, further underlining SEN’s leadership in locally driven audio content.
Both titles recorded strong growth month-on-month, with SEN WA Breakfast (featuring Peter Bell, Tim Gossage and Scott Cummings) climbing 18 places (with 16,401 monthly listeners and 61,833 monthly downloads) and Mornings with Mark Duffield rising seven places (with 12,498 monthly listeners and 42,991 monthly downloads) reflecting continued audience engagement with WA-focused AFL and sports coverage as the season builds.
The results build on SEN’s dominant position in the WA podcast landscape, where it continues to deliver the highest-performing locally produced shows in the country, while maintaining a clear lead in quality, relevance and consistency of output.
The WA performance forms part of a broader national result for SEN, which again recorded 18 titles in the Australian Top 300, highlighting the ongoing strength of sport and live radio programming in the on-demand audio market.
Looking ahead, SEN will further strengthen its presence in Western Australia with the launch of SEN WA on DAB+ in Perth from June 1, expanding access to its local and national programming through digital radio.
The addition of DAB+ will allow even more Western Australian sports fans to access SEN WA’s lineup - including SEN WA Breakfast and Mornings with Mark Duffield - across multiple platforms, further supporting the network’s growth in both live listening and podcast consumption.
SEN Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said the results reflected SEN’s continued investment in Western Australian content and its connection with local audiences.
“These results once again show the strength of our WA programming and the demand for locally produced sports content,” Hutchison said.
“To be the only network with WA-based radio shows in the national podcast rankings is a significant achievement and speaks to the relevance and quality of what our team is delivering every day.
“The growth of both SEN WA Breakfast and Mornings with Mark Duffield this month highlights how strongly those programs are resonating with audiences as the AFL season builds.
“The upcoming launch of SEN WA on DAB+ is an important next step in making that content even more accessible, giving fans more ways to listen and further strengthening our presence in Western Australia.”
