SEN SA announces guest breakfast line-up
SEN SA listeners can look forward to some new voices over the next fortnight, with regular breakfast program Breakfast with Bicks & Walshy (with Mark Bickley and Jarrod Walsh) taking a short break.
A mix of former AFL stars, coaches and respected South Australian sporting media personalities will join the program, bringing a wealth of experience and insight across the next two weeks.
This week, (commencing July 7) former AFL players Dan Menzel and Paul Seedsman will host the program on Tuesday and Wednesday, before Menzel returns alongside former Adelaide defender and coach Nathan Bassett on Thursday.
Menzel played 80 AFL games across nine seasons with Geelong and Sydney and remains a highly respected figure in South Australian football. Following his AFL career, he became a SANFL premiership player with Woodville-West Torrens in 2021 and won the Ken Farmer Medal as the league's leading goal kicker in 2022. He currently serves as General Manager of Football at Norwood Football Club.
Seedsman played 132 AFL games for Collinwood and Adelaide between 2011 and 2023, earning the 2015 ANZAC Day Medal and selection in the AFL's extended All-Australian squad in 2021. His career was unfortunately cut short due to concussion-related issues.
Bassett enjoyed a distinguished AFL career with Adelaide, playing 210 games between 1998 and 2008 and earning All-Australian honours in 2006. He later coached Norwood to consecutive SANFL premierships in 2012 and 2013 and has held assistant coaching roles at Essendon, Port Adelaide and Melbourne. He is currently Head Coach of West Adelaide.
Next week (commencing July 14), leading sports journalist, Braden Ingram, will team up with recently retired Adelaide Crows player, Brodie Smith.
Ingram is one of South Australia's most respected sports journalists through his work with Nine News, while Smith recently concluded a decorated AFL career after 273 games with Adelaide, ranking ninth on the club's all-time games played list. Smith was named All-Australian in 2014 and represented Australia in the International Rules Series the same year.
Sports Entertainment Network’s (SEN) Group Radio Director, Sam Thompson, said the guest line-up showcased the breadth of football knowledge and broadcasting talent available in South Australia.
"One of the great strengths of SEN is our ability to bring together some of the most respected voices in football and sport. While Bicks and Walshy enjoy a well-earned break, listeners can expect outstanding insight, strong opinions and great entertainment from a line-up featuring former players, coaches and leading media personalities.
"Dan, Paul, Nathan, Braden and Brodie all bring unique experiences and perspectives, and we're looking forward to hearing them connect with our audience across the next two weeks."
Listeners can tune into SEN SA Breakfast via SEN SA 1629am or via the SEN app.
