SEN Breakfast remains #1 footy, #1 breakfast radio podcast
Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has continued its strong run in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker results for April 2026, with 18 titles again ranked inside the Australian Top 300, and sustained momentum across sport, racing and live radio programming.
Headlining another standout month, SEN Breakfast has climbed to #7 overall, further cementing its position as Australia’s number one radio podcast and number one football podcast.
SEN Breakfast - which features Fireball with Kane & Kingy (with Kane Cornes and David King) on Mondays and Fridays, and Breakfast with Garry & Tim (with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson) from Tuesday to Thursday - continues to perform strongly and leads a hotly contested list of AFL titles in both monthly listeners (355,412) and downloads (1,290,134).
The April results reinforce SEN Breakfast’s status as the benchmark in sports audio, while also highlighting the continued strength of AFL content in the on-demand podcast space.
Across the network, SEN recorded another impressive collective performance, with nearly all SEN podcasts in the Top 300 improving its ranking month-on-month, highlighting the interest in AFL- and NRL-adjacent content in particular as the respective seasons intensify.
This was particularly evident with strong gains for SEN League, which jumped 34 positions month-on-month as audiences continue to engage with SEN’s expanding NRL coverage in the lead-in to State of Origin I next week.
Further highlighting the strength of SEN’s daily programming, Sportsday with Gerard Healy, Ken Hinkley and Sam Edmund surged from #126 to #109 month-on-month, reflecting growing audience appetite for in-depth, nightly sports coverage.
That momentum will continue, with Sportsday expanding its reach from Monday, May 25, airing from 5pm to 8pm on Mondays, with the first hour live on Fox Footy, giving fans even greater access across both broadcast and on-demand platforms.
SEN’s diverse podcast slate - spanning AFL, NRL, racing and daily sports programming - once again delivered a strong national footprint, underpinned by its unique ability to convert live radio audiences into highly engaged, on-demand listeners, with the following SEN-produced shows also making the Australian Top 300 Podcast Ranker in April:
  • #47 Whateley (with Gerard Whateley)
  • #99 The Sounding Board (with Craig Hutchison and Damian Barrett)
  • #105 Giddy Up with Gareth Hall
  • #109 Sportsday (with Gerard Healy, Ken Hinkley and Sam Edmund)
  • #130 The Run Home with Joel & Fletch (with Bryan Fletcher and Justin Horo/Chad Townsend)
  • #151 Crunch Time
  • #180 Morning Glory with Matty Johns
  • #196 Kick Off with Brandy & Jimmy (with Greg ‘Brandy’ Alexander and Jimmy Smith)
  • #207 SEN Afternoons (Dwayne’s World with Dwayne Russell)
  • #209 SEN WA Breakfast (featuring Peter Bell, Tim Gossage and Scott Cummings)
  • #212 SEN League
  • #231 The Rabbit Hole (with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson)
  • #233 The Run Home with Andy & Gazey (with Andy Maher and Andrew Gaze)
  • #244 Mornings with Mark Duffield
  • #253 Off the Bench (with Craig Hutchison and Liam Pickering)
  • #259 Don’t Shoot The Messenger (with Corrie Perkin and Caroline Wilson)
SEN Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said the April results highlighted the continued strength of SEN’s flagship programs and the continued growth of the broader network.
“It’s incredibly pleasing to see SEN Breakfast continue to grow and consolidate its position as the number one radio podcast in the country,” Hutchison said.
“To have 18 titles inside the Top 300 - and to see almost every one of those programs improve month-on-month - speaks to the consistency of our content and the connection we have with sports fans across Australia.
“We’re also seeing strong momentum in our NRL coverage, with SEN League’s growth reflecting the appetite from fans as we head into another exciting State of Origin period, while Sportsday’s jump this month shows how much audiences value informed, daily sports conversation.
“The expansion of Sportsday across both Fox Footy and our SEN platforms is a natural next step as we continue to grow our audience across broadcast and podcast, giving fans more ways to engage with our content than ever before.
“Sport continues to be a powerful driver in the podcast space, and we’re proud to be leading that category with authentic, in-the-moment content that fans can access whenever they choose.”
