Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is proud to announce the launch of SEN Goulburn Valley 1260am, which will go live on September 1, 2025 - just in time for the excitement of the AFL finals.
Following the announcement that SEN has acquired the brand, audio and digital broadcasting assets of Racing & Sports Network (RSN) last week, SEN Goulburn Valley 1260am will replace SEN Shepparton (currently available via the SEN app), bringing the best of SEN’s national sports programming to the region, paired with local sport and racing coverage. The station will service the entire Goulburn Valley region, including Shepparton, Benalla, Seymour, Kyabram, Cobram, Mansfield and surrounding communities.
Listeners will enjoy access to SEN’s flagship shows, including Breakfast with Garry and Tim, which will now be heard in co-host Garry Lyon’s hometown of Kyabram and across the Goulburn Valley from Tuesday to Thursday.
Craig Hutchison, CEO of SEN, said he was excited to expand his SEN’s footprint in regional Victoria.
“We’re thrilled to expand our reach in regional Victoria with the launch of SEN Goulburn Valley. This region is rich in sporting culture, and we’re committed to delivering a mix of national and local content that truly resonates with the community. It’s a timely and exciting addition as we head into the AFL finals.”
Lyon added that he was looking forward to a ‘homecoming’ of sorts.
“It’s pretty special to know that our show will now be heard in Kyabram – my hometown. I’ve got a lot of fond memories from the region - they are absolutely passionate about their sport and I’m looking forward to connecting with listeners across the magnificent Goulburn Valley.”
As part of SEN’s expansion into regional Victoria, Andy Mathers has been appointed to the role of Regional Victoria Commercial Director, a newly created role aimed at further strengthening SEN’s presence and partnerships across the state.
Mathers, former General Manager of Geelong Broadcasters (K rock/bayFM), is a highly respected and accomplished leader with nearly 30 years’ experience in the industry. Mathers currently lives in Geelong but is a country bloke at heart growing up in Cobram/Barooga on the Murray River; SEN Goulburn Valley’s heartland.
“I’m super excited to join SEN at such an exciting time. Regional Victoria has a passionate sporting audience, and we’re committed to delivering content and commercial opportunities that reflect and support our communities. I grew up listening to 1260am - that’s where my love of radio and media started! SEN Goulburn Valley is just the beginning.”
SEN Goulburn Valley 1260am will be available on-air and via the SEN app and SEN website from September 1. The RSN broadcast will be accessed via the RSN and SEN apps and websites.
