Scotty's Spin: Blues v Chiefs stands to be a flagship moment for Super Rugby

I have got to say, I am super excited about the Super Rugby Final.
Huge congratulations to the Blues and the Chiefs, regardless of how the cards have fallen here, this is a massive opportunity for a competition that is desperate to find its place in the sun.
Hopefully on Saturday night the weather plays its part, and under the lights at Eden Park, we are treated to the kind of final that we can expect from two teams who have shown all season long that they are packed with talent, packed with excitement.
It's the top of the North Island, the biggest population base in the country, in the biggest stadium we have in New Zealand and I would love to see it bursting at the seams.
I know how hard the Chiefs have worked, their CEO Simon Graafhuis has been with us on Scotty & Izzy talking about what they have tried to do to connect with their fans.
Kevin Malloy, the chair of the new Super Rugby commission, has also been on the show talking about how they want to connect with their fans.
But to me, this stands as a flagship moment for Super Rugby - it is the final that we hoped for, at the biggest stadium with two great rugby rivals, Auckland and Waikato, the Blues and Chiefs.
Those Chiefs have worked so hard culturally on what they stand for as a club and the fans have bought into that, they will roll up the highway in the ‘Mana Convoy’ and it will be in full swing.
The fact that the Chiefs have found a venue for their fans to gather at before this game, shows they're thinking about this occasion.
The fact that this game was sold out in just a few hours is a testament that there are fans out there waiting for the occasion.
This is the occasion Super Rugby wants, I hope we get the final we feel we deserve.
But I just want to shout out to both organisations - you've done a great job all season long with connecting with your fans, make sure with this event you do it at 1000%, because this could be one of the great finals in Super Rugby history.
