Sattler named Director of Football at the Titans

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) extends its heartfelt thanks to Scott Sattler for more than a decade of exceptional service, after it was announced he will be taking on a new role as Director of Football at the Gold Coast Titans.
Sattler has been a crucial part of building SEN’s footprint across New South Wales and Queensland, helping shape our NRL coverage and connect deeply with fans across both states.
Scott joined SEN in 2012, co-hosting Sportsday alongside Gary Belcher, and quickly became a trusted voice in rugby league and heard across more than 50 radio stations each night. He was also an inaugural member of the NRL Nation commentary team in 2018.
As a leading NRL commentator, Sattler has called every NRL Grand Final since 2018, and will fittingly conclude his time with SEN at this year’s Grand Final - returning to the stage where he had his most iconic moment in the 2003 decider with Penrith.
A former player with 203 NRL games to his name, Sattler is best remembered for his legendary cover tackle in the 2003 Grand Final, helping secure victory for the Panthers.
Scott’s connection to the Gold Coast Titans runs deep. He was part of the club’s launch in 2007 and played for the Gold Coast Chargers. His father John – a legendary, four-time Premiership captain with the Rabbitohs - was instrumental in the region’s first franchise, the Gold Coast Seagulls. His return to the Titans marks a full-circle moment and a chance to pursue some unfinished business.
SEN has agreed to release Scott early to take up his new role, though he will continue to contribute through the remainder of the 2025 NRL season. He also recently fronted our collaboration with Fox League for Saturday League Kick Off, showcasing his versatility and passion for the game.
As part of our ongoing commitment to rugby league, Sports Entertainment Network has extended its strategic partnership with the Titans for another two years, which includes weekly content and commercial collaboration.
SEN CEO, Craig Hutchison, said Sattler would be deeply missed, but would always remain a part of the SEN family.
“Scott’s legacy and impact on our business has been enormous, and second only to his character and integrity as a person,” Hutchison said.
“Scott has been a foundational part of our ventures into covering the NRL, as well as our entry into the New South Wales and Queensland markets. His insight, passion, professionalism and relatability have helped shape our coverage and build deep connections with fans. We’re proud of everything he’s achieved with us and excited to continue working with him through our partnership with the Titans. He’s bowing out on top, just as he did in 2003.
“We congratulate Scott and his family on this new role and thank him for all he has done for SEN’s rugby league audiences.”
