Chip Ganassi Racing has confirmed Kiwi IndyCar great Sir Scott Dixon will depart the team at the conclusion of the 2026 season.
The announcement follows recent speculation the six-time champion is heading to the Arrow McLaren team.
"Scott Dixon recently informed the team that he will not be returning in 2027," the statement said.

"Because of everything we've accomplished together, and the legacy Scott has built here, we believed it was important to give him the opportunity to finish his career at Chip Ganassi Racing, and we made him a multi-year offer to do just that.
"We respect that he's chosen a different path and wish him nothing but continued success."
In a social media video, Dixon confirmed he will stay in the IndyCar competition on a full-time basis.
"It was not a quick decision. It was something that took a long time and (I) spoke to the team about several times as well, and we'll have to see where that goes," Dixon told motorsport reporter Zion Brown.
Reports from ESPN suggest 2026 Indianapolis 500 champion Felix Rosenqvist will depart Meyer Shank Racing to join Dixon at McLaren alongside current driver Pato O'Ward for the 2027 season.
Dixon's 24-year relationship with Chip Ganassi Racing includes six IndyCar Championship wins (2003, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020) and securing 58 of his 59 IndyCar race wins - the second most of any driver.
The tenure also includes Dixon's famous Indianapolis 500 win in 2008.
