Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Flemington & Rosehill in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
FLEMINGTON
Race 2 | 2. Miewa (each-way)
This bloke was my Derby futures play and there is no doubt he will run better deeper into his prep over distance but I like this setup today. He was really good first up last prep behind Ole Dancer and Thanks Gorgeous and that was 1200. The track again is a little Q but he has ran ok on soft early prep before. Today with blinkers on and a bunch of jumpouts, combined with a nice gate over 1400 he is a nice each way play. He will run well!
Race 3 | 4. Jadzia
She was really good on debut and obviously has a bit of talent. Seems suited to the 1200 and race day experience will benefit her today. I like when a horse handles the straight which she did and smallish field allows JC to try and find the part of the track that works. GT will control again so don’t want her getting away with murder again but if Jadzia is close enough I think she will prove to be classier.
Race 6 | 5. My Gladiola
Forget the Newmarket as never looked comfy crowded, track bias didn’t help albeit she was a little flat late when free. I like her back to the 1100 and in a much easier race. Drawn a little better for how the track hopefully plays and allows Mott to get her into rhythm. I'm going to focus on her on the Lightening where she was great. Heavy as per a Q but it is with all of them here, so I am going to side with the class and she has it here in spades relative to the field.
Race 7 | 13. Litzdeel
She was great last start against the bias storming home and she was even better in the Spring when she embarrassed a better field than this! She gets to the 2600 which is a big tick and she runs well 3rd up. Gate is tricky and I expect her forward as I'm not as sold on major speed but if CW goes back she does posses flexibility in style. If the track gets heavier ill be a little flat but this race has a long tail. WOTH is the danger but Litz is classier and I expect her with weather luck to get that golden ticket comfortably.
Race 8 | 6. Sabaj (each-way)
I really liked his All Star Mile and with a little luck might have ran 3rd. He is going to to back and the pace will be on, which gives him a chance. First time at the 2000 but he profiles like he will enjoy it. He runs well 2nd up which is how I see this and he is a Flemington type horse! He will hook wide and come thundering home in an even race with a few chances but the stable is flying.
ROSEHILL
Race 4 | 15. Cool Jakey (each-way)
Very open race but this bloke loves wet tracks and wont be as pressured up front as he was last start in Canberra. That form held up yesterday in Muswellbroook Cup. When he draws a nice gate, he normally runs well especially in this grade. 1400 is perfect and he is hard fit. Open race but he is over the odds and a nice each way play!
Race 5 | 5. Storm Leopard
NEEDS 2000 and finally gets it and a nice gate. Think TB will go forward and be right on speed. This is a bigger challenge and no doubt the track will test a few of these but I like progressive horses and he oozes that. He was a long way back last start and then they went wide wide wide. It was a huge run and with a better setup today I think he can run really well!!
Race 6 | 4. Panova
She looks primed for this 2000 3rd up! She was much better 2nd up than fresh but have a feeling Waller knows what he has. She gets better deeper into her prep and expect a lot of improvement today first try at the trip! Think she can park a pair or 2 back and stalk the speed. Long Legs will control it but outside of that it’s a bit murky. Fave will go back but where does the other Kiwi sit? Box? Either way I expect Panova to be in the finish and be very hard to beat!
Race 10 | 8. La Fracas (each-way)
This is the toughest race of the day and im wide in the quaddie but this bloke east mud for breakfast and adores 1200. He will go back but the speed will be on (Gangsta Granny/Mal's/Roo will go fast) He will be a long way off them and seem like he cant catch them but don’t worry, he will storm home in the slop! He was pretty good 1st up and he is good 2nd up and I expect him to run.

FLEMINGTON
Race 1 | 1. Pop Award (value)
Looks the value here second up and she and will find this easier than what she has been contesting. Second up form is very good and is suited with the jar out of the ground. Is first time down the Flemington straight and is worth an each-way play.
Race 4 | 6. Stoli Bolli
Resumes off a couple of nice trials and is the one to beat. Ran into some handy ones last prep making his form look good for this. Stiff not to win last start.
ROSEHILL
Race 1 | 4. Audrey's Lane
Got the money first up when well supported. There is no reason why she can’t win again by leading all the way as she ticks many boxes. Second up form is good will handle the conditions.
Race 7 | 2. Verona Rose
Was never disgraced in the Coolmore and she gets her perfect conditions here being a soft track where she’s 3/4. She can win.
Race 9 | 1. Sepals
Was a length off winning the Newmarket first up and he is 2/2 second up which includes a G1 win. Soft track suits and I’d suspect Tommy Berry will have to go forward on him.
