Ryan Fox has prevailed in a sudden-death playoff to win the Canadian Open on Monday (NZ time).
The victory seals Fox's second PGA Tour victory in under a month, after winning his maiden title at the Myrtle Beach Classic.
The Aucklander produced a clutch long-range putt on the 18th at Osprey Valley to force a playoff with American Sam Burns.
The pair then needed four playoff holes to be separated, before Fox's superb wood off the fairway put him in position to seal the win.
Fox banks a whopping $NZ3 million for his troubles and secures a spot at this weekend's US Open, the Players Championship and The Masters.
"It was very hard fought," Fox told broadcasters.
"It was a bit scratchy to be honest for 13 holes today. I made a couple of good saves there, and then found it the last four or five holes, I had some great shots.
I didn't hit a couple of great shots in the playoff. Obviously Sam left me off there the first time around. Nice to hit a good one on 18 that fourth time.
"That's probably the best shot I've ever hit in my life. Nice to do it in these circumstances."
Reflecting on his sensational month, Fox could only shake his head.
"I can't say what's in my head right now, I'll get in trouble for that," he said. "I'm still trying to process it.
"I can see my girls are about to go play in the sand. It's crazy. The last four weeks I've played some of the best golf I've ever played and to get a couple of wins on the PGA Tour in a month is pretty surreal to be honest."
