Reed Mahoney set to leave Bulldogs at season's end

Reed Mahoney is the latest player to leave the Bulldogs following the 2025 season.
The hooker has been reported to sign with the North Queensland Cowboys on a three-year deal which will take him through to 2028.
This comes after Canterbury lost against the Broncos after being up 18-0 in the 60th minute, as they have now lost three of their last five games.
He is now second Bulldog this week to announce that he will be leaving the club after this season.
Earlier in the week, Bulldogs halfback Toby Sexton announced that he will head to France to play in the Super League for the Catalan Dragons on a two-year contract.
With the signing of Lachlan Galvin during mid-season, it has seen Mahoney become the odd man out at the Bulldogs as Sexton was often moved to the hooker position while Galvin filled the halfback position meaning Mahoney would be on the bench.
After signing with the Bulldogs back in 2023 from the Eels, Mahoney has played 64 games for the Bulldogs.
In that timeframe, he has scored ten tries and 24 try assists with a 90% tackle efficiency rate, helping the Bulldogs go from 15th to finals contenders.
For North Queensland, the signing of Mahoney provides an adequate replacement for Reece Robson, who is set to join the Sydney Roosters next season.
