Tottenham will play in the Premier League next season after surviving on the final day of the 2025/26 campaign.
Spurs defeated Everton 1-0 in a nervy contest in North London to remain above the drop zone courtesy of Joao Palhinha’s 43rd-minute goal.
"It's an amazing feeling after a really tough season in every single way,” Palhinha said on Sky Sports.
"It was really tough, a lot of things happened in this season, but I think we showed today, with the crowd... I've never seen anything like this, to be honest, after a bad season like this one.
"This environment, this support, it's amazing. I've never seen anything like that."
With Spurs staying up, it spells the end for West Ham in the top flight.
The Hammers beat Leeds United 3-0 at home but were helpless in their survival efforts, finishing two points behind Tottenham.
The East Londoners drop to the Championship after 14 straight seasons in the Premier League.
Dead in the middle of the table, Chelsea will be without European football next season after crumbling at the Stadium of Light.
The Blues required victory to finish in the top eight but lost 2-1 to Sunderland, who entered the final match day a point behind them.
Sunderland scored twice before Cole Palmer responded in the 56th minute, providing some hope, but Wesley Fofana’s second yellow card crushed Chelsea’s chances.
The Black Cats have finished seventh and have gained qualification to the Europa League.
Manchester City were beaten 2-1 by Europa League champions Aston Villa at Etihad Stadium to end Pep Guardiola’s reign.
The Spaniard’s savagely successful, trophy-laden 10-year tenure at City has come to an end.
He was emotional when speaking to City fans after the final whistle: "It is an immense honour my family will have for the rest of my life," he said.
"Over the next years, wherever in the world, if you see me in the streets or here at the Etihad Stadium, if you are a City fan, come to me.
"It has been a huge honour to represent this club. Every decision I took I thought was the best for this club. I love you so much. It has been fun."
Arsenal celebrated their drought-breaking Premier League title with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madwueke preceded more raucous celebrations for the Gunners who finished the season seven points clear of City at the summit.
Mikel Arteta's champs will wrap up their campaign in the Champions League final against PSG in Budapest next Sunday morning AEST.
The Gunners along with City, Manchester United, Villa and Liverpool have qualified for the Champions League next season.
